Two arrested, over $1.1M in cocaine seized in Cocoyea

Two persons have been arrested and over $1.1M in cocaine along with a quantity of ammunition were seized during an exercise conducted by the Central Major Crimes Unit and the Central Division Task Force, between 3am and 6 am on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, officers proceeded to a house in Cocoyea Village, San Fernando and executed a search warrant, relative to a report of a robbery.

During the search, 20 rounds of .38 special ammunition, 1.2 kilograms of cocaine, a bulletproof vest, a ski mask and a gun holster were found and seized.


Two persons, a 32-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested in connection with the finds.

The drugs have an approximated street value of over $1.5M.
