Talparo man, 23, held with loaded firearm at bar in Arima

A 23-year old man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate on Wednesday, after he was held with a loaded firearm at a bar in Arima.

The suspect, who is said to be from Talparo, was arrested on Tuesday by officers of the Northern Division Special Investigations Unit.


The unit, which is spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Michael Daniel and Inspector Robert Joseph, received information which led them to a bar along Tumpuna Road, Arima. 

The suspect was searched and a .38 revolver with two rounds of ammunition were found.
