Internal elections for the People’s National Movement (PNM) will be held on September 30, 2018.

While it was previously announced in June by party chairman Franklin Khan that the internal election was carded for September 16, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley on Sunday said the election would be held on September 30.

He made the announcement while addressing supporters at the PNM’s Sports and Family Day at Edinburgh 500 Recreational Grounds in Chaguanas.

The Prime Minister will field a slate of candidates for the upcoming election.

The final membership list for the election was published on June 22 and the nomination period would be from August 13 to 17.

All positions of the party’s executive would be declared vacant and will be contested.
