Businessman shot twice, critical at hospital

A Chaguanas businessman is now fighting for his life at hospital after he was shot twice on Tuesday.

Brian Seurattan, owner of Seumeds Limited, was opening his business at Citrus Drive, Enterprise, when he was ambushed at around 7.45a.m.

Police said Seurattan was standing at the doorway when a car pulled into the driveway. A masked man jumped out and opened fire on the businessman.


Police said Seurattan was shot twice but eight spent shells were found at the scene.

Seurattan was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he remains in critical condition.

Central Division police responded to the report and are continuing investigations.

Relatives said Seurattan has been operating the business for almost 35 years.
